Hospital and Homebound Instruction

Each year several students are ill for prolonged periods of time. In some cases the student's educational program may be in jeopardy without specific tutorial assistance.

When students are homebound or hospitalized services may be provided by the Medicine Hat School District upon request through the Program and Instruction Department. Instruction is limited to a maximum of five hours per week. Parents and/or teachers may request service by applying to the school principal or his/her designate.

Occasionally students with severe emotional or behavioural disorders may also be provided with this service.

Palliser Adolescent Services

Palliser Adolescent Services-Mental Health (PAS) is a collection of coordinated mental health services for adolescents and their families experiencing mental or emotional health difficulties. The services are available to residents of the Palliser Health region and do not require hospitalization.
