The Regional Suicide Prevention Council is pleased to present a free community event featuring author Kevin Hines, 7pm on Thursday, November 30th, 2017 at the Medicine Hat College Eresman Theatre.

When Kevin was 19 years old and recently diagnosed with bipolar disorder, he attempted to take his life by jumping off the Golden Gate Bridge. He is only one of thirty-three to have survived the fall and has regained full mobility despite the life-threatening injuries he sustained from his attempt.

Kevin is now a renowned suicide prevention and mental health advocate and has spoken to over a quarter of a million people about his first-hand experience with suicide. He devotes his time to talking with communities and schools around the world about living mentally well and the prevention of suicide. His story is incredibly powerful and personal.
